U.S. passes Saudi Arabia in crude oil production
America has passed Saudi Arabia in crude oil production. The information was released yesterday by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Current production is 10.3 million barrels a day. The expectation is 11 million barrels a day before year end.
Russian oil drilling is 10.92 million barrels a day compared to 10.12 million barrels a day by Saudi Arabia.
Russia and Saudi Arabia are responsible for 25 per cent of the world's oil production. In October, both countries agreed to joint venture to develop offshore oil drilling in the Arctic.
