She is a gun runner, manufacturers representative for Kalashnikov USA, and works with Paul Whelan to sell sniper rifles and gear to private contractors who work in assassination teams throughout the world.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, Butina had a visitor yesterday at the Truesdale Detention Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Bureau of Prisons has received no instructions from a federal court judge on the assignment of Butina to a specific federal prison.
