"Serial sex offender" Paul Whelan, 58, pled guilty to more sex crimes on Nov. 15th and is serving another four years, eight months in a Lancashire, UK jail
Paul Whelan, 58, a British citizen, pled guilty on Nov. 15th to five more sex crimes of boys aged 14 to 16. He received a sentence of four years, eight months.
Whelan is “a serial sex offender”, according to Chris Scott, a Lancashire, United Kingdom (UK) police constable.
Scott investigates “historial abuse cases” in a special unit called Operation Fervent.
Whelan is in Lancashire UK Jail now.
He is from Maida Vale, Thornton, UK, according to police and court records.
Whelan is serving two consecutive terms. The first one was in 2017 for similar crimes. However, these records fail to appear in official public court records.
Whelan was jailed for three years, three months in September 2017 for similar offences, according to a police press release dated Nov. 20th.
The new sentence is said to run consecutively to his Nov. 15th sentence.
Whelan was a former soccer coach with the Wyre Juniors Football Club in Preesall, Lancashire, United Kingdom.
