The U.S. and Indonesia opened joint NATO military drills with a ceremony on Wednesday morning.

It was in Baturaja, a coastal town in South Sumatra province.

NATO is the N. Atlantic Treaty Organization.

They are expanding their territory into Asia.

NATO is the military of the United Nations (UN).

According to the Pentagon, the purpose of Garuda Shield is to train soldiers for the United Nations (UN) “peacekeeping” missions around the world to quell domestic terrorist situations.

Military exercises in Indonesia continue until Aug. 14th.

The annual UN military training missions in Indonesia have been ongoing since 2009.

The State Department said that the U.S. donated 35 million Covid-19 vaccines to Indonesia.

UNICEF said that Indonesia had the lowest Covid-19 vaccination rate in the world.

They asked for immediate action from the UN to vaccinate Indonesia’s children six months and older.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is fast-tracking Indonesia’s Covid-19 for worldwide distribution.

In anticipation of WHO’s approval, Indonesia combined three state-owned drug making companies into one on Feb. 5th, 2020.

The new company is called Holding Bumn Pharmaceuticals.

The state-owned companies merged were:

The Strait of Malacca, on the northern coast of Indonesia, is the choke point for China’s oil imports.

It is only two miles wide.

That route supplies China with 80% of its energy needs.

A blockade in that Strait shuts down China, according to the Naval Institute.

Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Darat (TNI-AD), lit. 'Indonesian National Military-Land Force') is the land branch of the Indonesian National Armed Forces.
