High speed trolling used for the first time on Cape Hatteras
Trolling is one way to catch more fish. Rather than letting the boat drift with the water current, a Captain keeps his motor running at a set speed.
Trolling speed is usually seven miles per hour in Teach's Lair, located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. This is the first year fishing charters there are increasing trolling speeds to 15 miles per hour.
High speed trolling has been used for many years in many fishing locations throughout the world.
How do the fish like it? Although fish like wahoo are being caught at this speed, more fish are being caught at the slower speed of seven miles per hour.
