The next hearing is set for March 28th at 10 a.m.

By that time, Butina would have spent eight months in jail.

Judge Tanya Chutkan denied the filing of a leave to file a “brief in support of allegations of torture while in U.S. custody as to Mariia Butina yesterday.

“The document is unavailable as the Court denied its filing”.

In the meantime, Butina remains in jail. She plead guilty to being a Russian spy.

Judge Chutkan has already told Butina to anticipate a sentence of five years.

American University has refused to honor a judge’s subpoena for pictures and names of 72 persons who were classmates and alleged co-conspirators of Butina.
