More coho salmon to be released in Cleveland's Wallace Lake next week

More coho salmon will be released next week into a local lake in Cleveland Ohio, according to the Cleveland Metroparks, who paid for the fish. No stocking of salmon has been scheduled for Lake Erie.

So far, 172 silver coho salmon were released in Berea, Ohio's Wallace Lake. The 16-acres lake is four miles southeast of Cleveland's International Airport (CLE), surrounded by land, and is 14 miles south of Lake Erie.

The salmon range from one to two pounds. Daily limit is one. The limit is designed to allow as many locals to catch and eat their first salmon. 

Local fishing expert D'Arcy Egan recommends catching them with small shiny spoons and spinners that skip across the top of the water. Then again, worms always seem to work. Just ask any local fisherman.
