With U.S. help, Ukraine is making NATO weapons.

Igor Pasternak (above), far right with red tie, is an American citizen living in Los Angeles.
The Pentagon has already approved three of his military projects.
Pasternak is a partner with Ukraine in an arms factory called UkroBoronsProm.
Their first project is to make the M16 assault rifle for NATO.
Pasternak has never manufactured arms before.

The National Guard State Partnership with Ukraine started in 1992.
Besides Ukraine, the U.S. Army sends some of its National Guard State troops to 59 other countries.
