Hazelwood, Wombold, Jones get new trial

The guilty verdict was reversed Thursday by the Federal Appeals Court in Cincinnati.

The defendants are:

  • Mark Hazelwood

  • Scott Wombold

  • Heather Jones

They were convicted of stealing $20,213,789 from their customers in a rebate scam.

They used to work for Pilot Flying J selling diesel and fracking fuels.

The case goes back to Judge Curtis L. Collier, the trial judge.

To be retried.

In the Federal District Court of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
