Heather Jones was sentenced yesterday to two years, nine months in jail for stealing $5,488,497 from customers of Pilot Flying J. She used to work there as a Regional Accounts Representative.
Prosecutors anticipate charging 25 more persons in the Pilot Flying J criminal conspiracy, all former employees. Jimmy Haslam remains Pilot’s CEO. He also owns the Cleveland Browns, a pro football team.
Mark Hazelwood was sentenced to 12.5 years for stealing $10,405,836 from customers of Pilot Flying J. He was former President and right-hand man to Jimmy Haslam, owner of Pilot and the pro football team, Cleveland Browns.
