For stealing $10,405,836 from customers of Pilot Flying J, Mark Hazelwood was sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. He was former President and right-hand man of Jimmy Haslam, Pilot’s CEO and owner of the pro football team, Cleveland Browns.

Prosecutors anticipate charging 25 more persons in Pilot Flying J criminal conspiracy:
"I will be appealing my conviction. I do proclaim my innocence. We should have had policies and procedures to prevent this. We didn't. I'm truly sorry”, said Mark Hazelwood, former President of Pilot Flying J.
Hazelwood was found guilty of stealing $10,405,836 from customers.
Trace Adkins, pictured at the top wearing the black hat, has never been associated with Pilot’s criminal conspiracy rebate scam. He is a paid spokesman.

Former Pilot employees Scott “Scooter” Wombold and Heather Jones were sentenced today. Wombold was sentenced to six years. Jones got two years and nine months.
“Scooter” was Pilot’s former V.P. Jones used to be one of their Regional Account Representatives.

Mark Hazelwood prison sentence begins Nov. 26th.
His request to be imprisoned at the Montgomery Air Force Base in Alabama was approved by the court.

According to the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati, only one item is marked in their files as noteworthy.
Mark Hazelwood has been granted an extension of time to file an appeal.
The deadline is Jan. 10th.
