Prosecutors want Flynn free too

The Mike Flynn criminal case was supposed to be fixed by the:
Prosecutors
Defense attorneys
Judge
For pleading guilty to lying to the FBI, Flynn was supposed to walk.
No jail time.
It was recommended by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller.
And his right-hand-man, Prosecutor Brandon Van Grack.
And woman, Jessie Liu, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia.
Their goal was to use the Flynn conviction to help take down President Donald J. Trump.
Rudy Contreras was the Judge.
Judges tend to approve plea deals without modifying the terms of the agreement.
On Dec. 7th, 2016, Flynn was to accept a deal without going to jail.
Then it happened.
That day, the trial judge was yanked like a bad tooth.
Replaced by Judge Emmett Sullivan.
Flynn’s deal evaporated.
A new judge meant a sentence modification.
From zero to five-years.
Instead of zero to six-months.
The smile has disappeared from Flynn’s face.
Judge Sullivan will sentence Flynn on Feb. 27th at 11 a.m. in the Federal District Court of Washington, D.C.
The hero in the Mike Flynn case is a heroine.
Judge Ellen S. Huvelle.
She issued an order substituting Sullivan for Contreras.
