Candidates supporting medical marijuana will win in close races this year says Roger Stone

Republican candidates for public office this year "would be foolish" to neglect medical marijuana as an issue, according to Roger Stone.

In a close race, the candidate supporting medical marijuana will win, said Stone. He was former Campaign Manager for President Donald J. Trump.

As evidence Stone cited a poll released Monday. Its results show that 68 per cent of Trump's base supports medical marijuana.

During his Campaign for President, Trump said he was "committed to honoring states' rights when it comes to marijuana legalization."

Stone said medical marijuana "is the logical and safer substitute for opioids".
